I am a Swedish American from Florida and English is my mother tongue. I studied German (as well as electrical engineering) at the University of Florida and earned a Bachelor of Arts in German Language and Literature. After university, I moved first to Germany then to Sweden. With a few minor exceptions, I've been based in Sweden since 1994. Translation was a part of my studies and work from 1989 to 2002 when I became a freelance translator, making translation my full-time profession. In 2009, I became an Authorized Translator for Swedish to English.
I hold two bachelor's degrees (German and electrical engineering) and two master's degrees (digital communications and an MBA). I am just as comfortable working in British English as American English.
