Translation - English ActionAid Thai is part of the ActionAid International organization, founded in 1972. ActionAid International works with poor and socially disadvantaged people in each country by coordinating with local organizations in order to put local knowledge and experience to best use in eradicating poverty and injustice. We focus on combating the root causes of poverty, not only dealing with their most recent effects. Besides this, we campaign and fight for the poor and disadvantaged to have a right to participate in decision-making about matters that directly affect them.
In the tragic aftermath of the tsunami, ActionAid Thai has been working with the poor and disadvantaged to relieve psychological trauma, restore livelihoods, develop the ability of communities to secure their rights and become more empowered, and monitor government assistance programs to ensure that aid in fact reaches the recipients for whom it was intended.

Write Award for Thailand in 2009, and the English version, which is my own translation, has just now (Sept. 2012) been published by Amarin Printing and Publishing and is available in stores and online.
