El clima es continental clásico, con temperaturas extremas en invierno y verano y lluvias escasas, concentradas en primavera y otoño. Los viñedos se asientan sobre suelo arcilloso con un notable componente calizo y PH ácido. El sol constante en verano facilita el cultivo de uvas ricas en azúcar con la acidez exacta para producir vinos de calidad. Las condiciones óptimas de suelo y clima y las variedades de uva cultivadas, permiten la elaboración de vinos con personalidad propia, caracterizados por su frescura y suavidad, sabor afrutado y atractivo aroma.

the largest of the three regions which form the Wines of Madrid Denomination of Origin. This sub-area covers
25 municipalities with approximately 6,400 hectares of vineyards.
The climate is classic continental, with extreme temperatures in winter and summer and little rainfall, concentrated in the spring and autumn. The vineyards sit on clay soil with significant
limestone content and an acidic PH. The constant summer sun easily ripens the sugar-rich grapes with the
