Pušies, eglės ir beržo kamieno perimetro prieaugio matavimai naudojant juostinius dendrometrus atlikti 1976-2010 m. šiaurės rytų Lietuvoje. Tyrimai parodė tirtų medžių rūšių sezoninio prieaugio ypatumus. Vidutinė augimo pradžia stebėta gegužės 6-10 d., o jo pabaiga - rugpjūčio 29-30 d. Vidutiniškai medžių augimas truko 111-117 dienų. Prieaugio pradžios ir pabaigos datos individualiems medžiams buvo skirtingos. Matyti, kad augimo pradžios datos svyruoja labiau nei jo pabaigos datos. 1976-2010 metų laikotarpiu stebimas prieaugio pradžios ir pabaigos ankstyvėjimas. Kadangi prieaugio nutrūkimo datų trendas yra silpnesnis nei jo pradžios, todėl prieaugio trukmės ilgėja.

From 1976-2010, circumference growth of pine, spruce, and birch was monitored in NE Lithuania using mechanical band dendrometers. Investigations have revealed the seasonal growth peculiarities of these tree species. The average onset of growth was observed on 6-10 of May and cessation on 29-30 of August. The growth duration was on average 111-117 days. However, the growth onset and cessation time is highly variable among individual trees. It is evident that the growth onset time is more variable in comparison to cessation time. The growth onset from 1976-2010 tends to start and cease earlier. Because the growth cessation trend is less pronounced in comparison to the onset trend, an increase in growth duration is noticeable.

К 27 сентября 8-я полевая и соседняя с ней 1-я танковая армии отошли за Днепр, заняв оборону на его правом берегу от Кременчуга до района южнее Киева, 4-ю танковую армию, еще раз приостановившую на короткое время на Десне продвижение русских, также удалось переправить через Днепр севернее и южнее Киева и организовать за Днепром неглубокую, но сплошную оборону. Однако связь с правым крылом группы армий “Центр” у слияния Днепра и Припяти была потеряна.

8-oji lauko armija ir gretima 1-oji tankų armija iki rugsėjo 27 d. atsitraukė už Dniepro bei užėmė gynybos pozicijas dešiniajame krante nuo Kremenčiugo iki rajono, esančio piečiau Kijevo. 4-ąją tankų armiją, dar kartą trumpam sustabdžiusią prie Desnos rusų slinkimą, taip pat pavyko perkelti per Dnieprą šiauriau ir piečiau Kijevo ir organizuoti už Dniepro negilią, bet vientisą gynybą. Tačiau ryšys su armijų grupės „Centras“ dešiniuoju sparnu prie Dnieprio ir Pripetės santakos buvo prarastas.

Šio darbo tikslas - įvertinti Klaipėdos miesto aplinkos būklės pokyčius, remiantis liepų genties (Tilia sp.) medžių dendrochronologiniais tyrimais.
Klimato veiksnių poveikis liepų kamienų radialiajam metiniam prieaugiui vertintas 1961- 2010 m. laikotarpiu, o kompleksinis klimato veiksnių ir aplinkos taršos poveikis - 1995- 2010 m. laikotarpiu.
Aplinkos kokybės vertinimui pasirinktas liepų kamienų metinis radialusis prieaugis. Tyrime panaudotos liepos, augančios 14-oje pagrindinių Klaipėdos miesto gatvių želdynuose ir liepos, augančios sąlyginai švarioje teritorijoje, Karklės miške. Eksperimento metu dendrochronologinei analizei paimti 183 eksperimentiniai gręžiniai. Atlikus tyrimus nustatyta, kad 30 - 36 amžiaus liepų metinis radialusis prieaugis 1,4 karto didesnis už 43 - 66 m. amžiaus liepų.
Liepos iki 40 m. amžiaus teigiamai reaguoja į SO2 ir NO2 koncentracijų didėjimą jų augaviečių ore (r nuo 0,714 iki 0,662, p0,05). Todėl galima teigti, kad liepos - atsparūs oro užterštumui augalai, todėl ne itin tinkami bioindikatoriai aplinkos būklei vertinti.
Klimato veiksnių ir antropogeninės oro taršos kompleksinis poveikis liepų kamienų metiniam radialiajam prieaugiui rodo, kad per pastaruosius kelis dešimtmečius palankiausios aplinkos sąlygos liepoms augti susiformavo toliau nuo centro nutolusiose Klaipėdos miesto gatvėse.

The aim of this paper - to evaluate the changes of environmental conditions in Klaipėda city using dendrochronological investigation on lime (Tilia sp.).
The influence of climate factors on lime radial increment was evaluated from 1961 – 2010, while the complex influence of climate factors and environmental pollution on lime radial increment was investigated from 1995 - 2010.
The radial growth of limes was selected for the assessment of environmental quality. For the purpose of research, limes growing along 14 main streets of Klaipėda city were used altogether with trees growing in Karklė forest, a relatively clean area. 183 samples were taken for dendrochronological analysis from lime stems by inserting the increment borer. The investigations have shown that the radial growth rate of 30 - 36 year-old-limes was 1.4x higher than the growth of 43 - 66 year-old-trees.
SO2 and NO2 concentrations had positive influence on the radial increment of younger than 40 years-old-limes (r ranges from 0.714 to 0.662, p0.05) between the radial increment of older than 40 years-old-limes and concentration of pollutants. It could be assumed that limes are resistant to air pollution and therefore, suitability of lime for the assessment of environmental state is disputable.
The complex impact of climatic factors and air pollution on lime radial increment demonstrated that the most favourable growing conditions for limes during the last decades were formed in remote streets from the Klaipėda city centre.

On the traces of Pac. Something about the church in Rużanka
Summary

The author of the present paper analyses the newest discovered facts about the history of church in Rużanka. This history is related with the noblemen and Maecenas family of the Pac. The parish of St. Peter and Paul in Rużanka was mentioned first in 1522. In the middle of XVII century the new stone building of baroque style was erected there. In 1668 the building was dedicated by the title of the Assumption of the Virgin Mary, St. Peter and Paul and by the name of St. Nicolaus and Stanislous.
The last successor of possessions of Rużanka has appointed to rebuild the church. In 1824–1828 the fabric has been reconstructed to the neogothic building by the project of the architect Henrico Marconi (the fit-out of interior continued till 1830). The fabric of church has been designed under the influence of late English and Italian Gothic as well as local traditions of construction has been used. The Pac’ cognizance Gozdawa has been placed on to the façade. The architect has been used the newest technologies of building such as Portland cement. Marconi has not touched the old baroque plan of the fabric although the new neogothic elements have been used in the interior’s organic whole. In 1925 Michał Rouba and Kazimierza Adamska Rouba have been decorated the interior by the wall paintings.

I am a Lithuanian research scientist with 10 years experience in the fields of botany, ecology, environmental sciences, dendroclimatology, and dendrochronology. I hold BA, M.Sc., and Ph.D. from Vytautas Magnus University (Lithuania). I was granted from the Lithuanian Academy of Sciences during my studies and to pursue post-doctoral research in plant genetics.
