• Unterstützung DssMover Portable
Der von GBS neu entwickelte DssMover Portable ist eine auf den Diktiergeräten der Digta 7 Series installierbare Applikation zum Konfigurieren der Geräte und zum Übertragen der Diktate in das Netzwerk, ohne dass eine PC-Installation erforderlich ist.
Mit dem DssMover Portable müssen Diktanten keine Software mehr auf ihrem Rechner installieren, um Diktate zu übertragen und zu versenden. Zudem können über den DssMover Portable grundlegende Diktiergeräte-Einstellungen wie zum Beispiel der Autorname, die Sekretariatsnamen mit E-Mail-Adressen oder ein Zielpfad zur Übertragung ins Netzwerk einfach und schnell konfiguriert werden.
Das Digta 7 mit dem DssMover Portable eignet sich insbesondere für alle Diktanten, die mobil diktieren und von wechselnden Arbeitsplätzen schnell die Diktate zum Sekretariat übertragen möchten.
Der DssMover Portable ist im Lieferumfang der Geräte der Digta 7 Series auf der beigefügten CD enthalten bzw. steht auf der Website von GBS kostenlos zum Download bereit. Er muss einmalig auf das Digta 7 kopiert werden.
Die neue Firmware V1.3 B119 stellt sicher, dass der DssMover Portable auch nach Formatierung der Speicherkarte auf dem Digta 7 erhalten bleibt.
Hinweise zur Bedienung sind in der Hilfedatei des DssMover Portable aufgeführt und stehen auf der Website von GBS zur Verfügung.
• Bluetooth Pairing mit Smartphones auch über SSP
Bei Bluetooth 2.1 sind die Bluetooth-Sicherheitsmodi um das „Secure Simple Pairing“ (SSP) erweitert, welches leichte Handhabung und hohe Abhörsicherheit vereint. Viele Smartphones verwenden zum Pairing mit anderen Bluetooth-Geräten das SSP. Dabei entfällt die Passworteingabe auf dem Smartphone. Es muss nur das Pairing bestätigt werden.
Für Smartphones, die SSP unterstützen (z.Bsp. Samsung Galaxy) muss im Bluetooth-Menü des Digta 7 das Häkchen bei „SSP“ gesetzt und durch Drücken der Taste „Save“ übernommen werden.
Bei Smartphones, die SSP nicht unterstützen (z.Bsp. Blackberry Torch) darf das Häkchen „SSP“ nicht gesetzt sein.
Verbesserungen in V1.3 B119
• Deutlichere Einstellung des Datumsformats
Die Uhrzeit kann im Digta 7 im 24-Stunden-Format und im 12-Stunden-Format (mit am/pm) angezeigt werden. Für das Datum ist auch die angelsächsische Reihenfolge mit Monat vor Tag einstellbar. Im Menü unter „Display / Date and Time“ ist nun unter „Format“ die Stundenangabe 24 bzw. 12 ergänzt, um Verwechslungen bei der Einstellung zu vermeiden.
• Optionale Speicherpartitionierung
In den Geräten der Digta 7 Series ist es nun möglich, die interne Speicherkarte zu partitionieren. Systembedingt kann eine kleinere Partitionierung der internen Speicherkarte die Zugriffs- und Reaktionszeiten beschleunigen. Da auch bei kleinerer Partitionierung noch ca. 85 Stunden Diktatzeit im DSS-Standardformat (bzw. ca. 40 Stunden im DSSPro-Format) zur Verfügung stehen, was bei den meisten Einsatzfällen im Diktatbereich bei Weitem nicht erreicht wird, ist diese Einstellung zu empfehlen.
Die Partitionierung auf 330 Stunden im DSS-Standardformat ist sinnvoll, wenn Langzeit- oder Konferenzaufnahmen gemacht werden, bzw. wenn als Audioformat WAV verwendet werden soll.
Die Partitionsgröße der internen Speicherkarte kann im Menü unter „Device settings / Memory partitioning“ eingestellt werden und ist werksseitig auf 85 Stunden im DSS Standardformat vorkonfiguriert. Wird ein Update auf eine ältere Firmware-Version durchgeführt, muss diese Partitionierung manuell erfolgen.
Die Funktion „Format memory“ im Menü unter „Device settings / Reset“ formatiert den Speicher auf die Größe wie unter „Memory partitioning“ eingestellt.
Hinweis:
Die Menüfunktion „Device info / Memory“ zeigt immer die Kapazität und den freien Bereich des ganzen internen Speichers an, auch wenn eine kleinere Partitionierung gewählt wurde.

• DssMover Portable
GBS’s new DssMover Portable, which can be installed on the Digta 7 series, is an application for the configuration of dictation devices and the transfer of dictations to the network without the installation of additional software.
With DssMover Portable, users no longer need special software installed on their computers to transfer data to particular folders or send it as an e-mail attachment. In addtion, it allows the quick and easy configuration of basic dictation device settings such as author and transcriber name with e-mail address or target directory for the transer of the file through the network.
A Digta 7 equipped with DssMover Portable is ideal for users who wish to remain mobile while dictating and at the same time quickly transfer the finished dictations to their office staff – even from multiple locations.
The DssMover Portable can be found on the CD enclosed with each newly-purchased Digta 7 series device, and is also downloadable free of charge from the GBS web site. To take advantage of its capabilities, the user need only copy the application onto his device a single time.
The new firmware V 1.3 B119 ensures that DssMover Portable remains functional even after the Digta 7 device’s storage has been formatted.

• Bluetooth pairing with smartphones using SSP
Bluetooth 2.1 expands the bluetooth security option to include “secure simple pairing” (SSP), which combines user-friendliness and excellent security against eavesdropping. Many smartphones use SSP for pairing with Bluetooth devices because it renders entering a password into the smartphone unnecessary – security requires only that the pairing is confirmed.
For smarthpones which support SSP, such as the Samsung Galaxy, pairing is activated by placing a check in the “SSP” box in the “Bluetooth” menu and confirming with the “Save” button.
When pairing dictation devices with smartphones that do not support SSP, such as the Blackberry Torch, “SSP” in the Bluetooth menu should remain unchecked.
Improvements in V1.3 B119
• More unambiguous date settings
A Digta 7 device allows time to be displayed in the 24-hour or the 12-hour format (AM/PM). The date can also be changed to the Anglo-Saxon sequence with the month appearing before the day. In the menu under “Display / Date and Time”, there is now a 24 or a 12 at the beginning of the “Format” entry to avoid confusion when choosing time settings.
• Optional storage partitioning
It is now possible to partition the internal storage of Digta 7 devices. Depending on the system, a smaller partitioning can shorten access and reaction time. Because the smaller partition leaves about 85 hours of dictation time in DSS standard format (and about 40 hours in DSSPro format), which in most cases immensely exceeds requirements, this setting is recommended.
Partitioning for 330 hours in DSS standard format makes sense when extremely long recordings, such as conferences, are to be made, or when the WAV audio format is to be used.
The partition size of the internal storage can adjusted in the menu under “Device settings / Memory partitioning”, and has been preconfigured at the factory to 85 hours in DSS standard format. If an update of an older firmware version is required, this partition must be performed manually.
The “Format memory” function in the menu under “Device settings / Reset” formats the memory to the size specified under the “Memory partitioning” setting.
Note: The menu function “Device info / Memory” continues to display the total storage capacity and the free storage capacity at the smaller partition setting.
