Source text - Swedish Under våren har en nytt svenskt varumärke sett dagens ljus när det gäller stödstrumpor. Swedish Supporters heter märket och det är strumpor som designas i Sverige och tillverkas i Sverige. Tillverkningen sker i Söderköping där en gång Fix trikåfabrik hade sin tillverkning. (Fix trikåfabrik var kända för sina fina barnkläder). Nu tillverkas där bland annat stödstrumpor, antitrombosstrumpor och sport strumpor.
Stödstrumpor är något som normalt förknippas med äldre damer som i sakta mak tar sig fram med en rullator över torget. Nu har en uppsjö av färgglada och roliga stödstrumpor lanserats på marknaden. Vad är då skillnaden mellan de olika märkena?
När det gäller stödstrumpor är den stora skillnaden sällan utseende utan kompression, det vill säga anläggningstryck vid ankeln. Det är anläggningstrycket vid ankeln som ger den effekt som stödstrumpor ska ha, nämligen att underlätta för blodet att flöda åter till hjärtat.

Translation - English During the spring a new Swedish trademark have been registered in support socks. Swedish Supporters is the name of the brand and it is socks that have been both designed and manufactured in Sweden.
The manufacturing takes place in Söderköping where once upon a time Fix Hosiery had their manufacturing. (Pix Hosiery was renowned for their beautiful children’s wear collection) Now they are manufacturing amongst other things supports socks, anti-thrombosis stockings and sport socks.
Support socks are something that normally is associated with elderly ladies who slowly walk across the town square with the help of a walker. Now have a huge array of colourful and fun support socks been launched onto the market. What is then the difference between the different brands?
When it comes to support socks the main difference is not the appearance of them but the amount of compression they apply. That is the pressure they apply at the ankle. It’s the amount of pressure applied at the ankle that dives the effect that support socks should have, which is to make it easier for the blood flow to return to the heart.
Swedish Supporters are support socks with compression class 1 15-21 mmHg and are therefore eligible to be sold at the Pharmacy.
