1. Cut tissue sections approximately 3 microns and dry completely.
2. Deparaffinize, rehydrate, and epitope retrieve, following recommended pretreatment protocol for each antibody.

4. Cover tissue with primary antibody following manufacturer’s recommended protocol.
5. Wash with 3 changes of wash buffer.
6. Apply XXX Amplifier and incubate for 10 minutes at room temperature.
7. Rinse with 3 changes of wash buffer.
8. Apply XXX Alk-Phos Polymer and incubate for 10 minutes at room temperature.

10. Cover tissue with chromogen; incubate for 5 minutes to 20 minutes at room temperature as necessary to allow for proper color development.
11. Rinse slides in DI water; counterstain and dehydrate.

Incubate slide with 10% goat serum for 10-15 minutes if necessary to reduce nonspecific background stating due to nonspecific interaction between the tissue antigen and the primary antibody or further titrate primary antibody.
The clinical interpretation of any staining, or the absence of staining, must be complemented by morphological studies.

System operational overview
The V60 Ventilator is a microprocessor-controlled pneumatic system that delivers a mixture of air and oxygen. It is powered by AC with optional battery backup to protect against power failure or unstable power and to facilitate intrahospital transport. The ventilator’s pneumatics deliver gas and its electrical systems control pneumatics, monitor the patient, and distribute power. The user provides inputs to the ventilator through a touchscreen, keys, and a navigation ring. These inputs become instructions for the pneumatics to deliver a precisely controlled gas mixture to the patient.
Operation
Standby
Standby lets you safely suspend ventilation to temporarily disconnect the patient from the ventilator or to set up the ventilator before connecting the patient. Alarms are disabled during standby.
You can also change ventilator settings and most menu functions during standby. The settings changes are effective when you exit standby. Enter standby as follows:
1. Select Standby. The Entering Standby window opens.
2. Disconnect the patient from the ventilator now. The ventilator enters standby and displays the Standby screen.
3. To resume ventilation, reconnect the patient. When the ventilator senses a patient breathing effort, ventilation automatically resumes in the previous mode.
NOTE: You can also manually resume ventilation with the Restart Mode button.

A man's waist size seems to be a stronger indicator of diabetes risk than the body-mass index, new research suggests. Johns Hopkins scientists reviewed data from 27,270 men tracked over 13 years and put them into five groups according to their waist size; 884 of the men had diabetes.
Compared to those in the group with the smallest waists, 29-34 inches, men with larger waist sizes were at least twice as likely to have diabetes. Those with the largest waist size 40 inches and above were up to 12 times more likely to have Type 2 diabetes, the kind associated with obesity.
When the men were divided into groups based on their body-mass index a formula based on weight and height or waist-hip ratio, the level of risk wasn't as pronounced.
The study's lead author, Youfa Wang, an assistant professor with the Center for Human Nutrition at the Johns Hopkins Bloomberg School of Public Health, said waist size can indicate a strong risk for diabetes whether or not a man's BMI indicates he's overweight or obese.
"It's a better predictor for the risk of Type 2 diabetes," Wang said. "When we look at the association it's much stronger."

I’m a physician who adores translation. My first contact with translation was during a search for something to earn money. While searching I met Ad about the need of translators. Since my start in April 2010, I translated more than 300000 words in almost all fields of translation.
My long studies in English plus long practice through web chats made my English just like native, so I can translate easily from Arabic into English. Even though, I use the services of another (at least to revise the translated English text) without extra fees to the client to ensure that the best effort is done for the job.
