Source text - Romanian Am discutat intr-un articol anterior despre implicatiile negative pe care cash managementul defectuos le poate avea pe termen lung asupra unei companii.
Intr-o perioada in care restructurarile generate de situatia economica dificila pe care o parcurgem sunt in plina desfasurare, apare intrebarea daca gestionarea mai atenta si controlata a banilor pot avea efecte pozitive asupra activitatii companiei, altele decat cele decurgand din asigurarea lichiditatilor.
Ce rol are managementul fluxului de numerar?
Ar putea cash managementul sa fidelizeze angajatii? Sau clientii? Ar putea sa contribuie in vreun fel la cresterea productivitatii? Sau la cresterea vanzarilor si/sau a cotei de piata ?
Aparent, acest lucru poate parea dificil. In relatia cu clientii, o imbunatatire a fluxului de numerar inseamna:
A pune presiuni pentru plata restantelor
A renegocia termene de plata mai scurte
A elimina creditele comerciale acordate anterior.
In relatia cu angajatii, reducerea fluxului de numerar este echivalenta cu:
Reducerea salariilor sau amanarea platilor salariale
Eliminarea bonusurilor
Reducerea timpului de munca.
Aceste actiuni pot avea ca efect imbunatatirea fluxului de numerar, dar exista si reversul: angajatii nu mai sunt stimulati, devin demotivati si neproductivi.
Totusi, exista situatii in care companiile, prin aplicarea unor strategii potrivite, pot fi in situatii win-win chiar si atunci cand se aplica solutii "nepopulare". Este esentiala colaborarea pro-activa atat intre departamentele companiei, cat si cu partenerii, fie ei angajati sau clienti.
Translation - English We have discussed in a previous article about the negative implications the deficient cash management may have on a company in the long run.
In a period when the restructuring generated by the difficult economic situation we are undergoing is in full progress, the question comes up if the more careful and controlled cash management may have positive effects on the company’s activity, others than the ones deriving from liquidity supply.
What part does the cash flow management play?
Could cash management make employees loyal? Or customers? Could it contribute to the productivity growth in any way? Or to the sales and/or market share growth?
Apparently, this may seem difficult. As regards the customer relationship, a cash flow improvement means:
Put pressure on arrear payment
Renegotiate shorter payment terms
Remove the commercial credits previously granted.
As regards the employee relationship, cash flow decrease may be equivalent to:
Salary cut or payroll payment postponement
Bonus removal
Working time reduction.
These actions may improve the cash flow, but there is also the reverse side: the employee are not stimulated, they become demotivated and unproductive.
Nevertheless, there are situations when the companies, by applying some adequate strategies, may find themselves in win-win situations, even when applying "unpopular" solutions. The pro-active collaboration both among the company departments and with the partners, either employees or customers, is essential.
