Portuguese to English: blurb for "Darshan Yoga: A Woman's Approach to a Balanced Life" Detailed field: Esoteric practices
Translation - English If you have heard about Yoga and have been curious to try it, but get nervous about the idea of turning upside-down and every-which way, or tying yourself in an accidental knot, then this book is for you.
In this book, you will find a series of simple and safe exercises that are relatively easy to master even if you
have never done Yoga before. You don’t need any special equipment to practice Darshan Yoga; you can
do it in the yard of your house, or in the privacy of your own bedroom.
What is necessary, however, to gain an understanding of the rationale behind the practices suggested in this book, such as setting a specific time and place in your day to practice, when and wherever it is convenient for you.
The book focuses on the most pressing of women's needs, such as trying to conceive, pregnancy, birth post-partum, PMS, and menopause, to name a few.
In sum, this book aims to aid women in the process of becoming more self-responsive and self-aware, better learning our true identities, and taking the reins for our own health and well-being. In so doing, we can find the key to surviving and living well during these times of transformation.

Bio
I am a well-educated translator working in a variety of fields. My interests are very broad-raging, although most of my translation work up to now has been in marketing, yoga, academic articles about art and philosophy, and human resource management.
I received a BA in Linguistics from Georgetown University in 2008. During my undergraduate study, I first developed my translation experience while studying Portuguese and Video Production in São Paulo, Brazil at PUC-São Paulo in 2007. After receiving my BA, I worked translating some online marketing materials and an e-book (available here on Kindle) for a start-up company.
