Bio
English to Danish I am a Danish citizen by birth, having lived in Denmark for 30 years, and for the last 15 years I have also been a Canadian permanent resident, communicating primarily in English both at work and in my personal life.
My educational background is a B.A. as well as extensive postgraduate studies at University of Copenhagen and Albert-Ludwigs-Universität Freiburg with a major in German and a minor in Danish / Nordic Studies. My focus was primarily linguistics and literature.
My work experience before becoming a freelance translator ranges from transcribing interviews with former East-German poets to performing phone surveys in both Danish and English as a CATI interviewer, working within the fields of market research, polling, social research / program evaluation and focus group recruiting.
