I am a professional translator working from Spanish, Portuguese and French into English, my native tongue.
My experience ranges from freelance work for community groups, NGOs, local government and UN agencies, to in-house employment with the UN Environment Programme (Nairobi) and the European Parliament (Luxembourg), where I held a permanent position for many years. I also worked as a translator and bilingual journalist in Central America and have experience in revision, editing, proofreading, transcription and subtitling.
I am a volunteer for Translators without Borders.
In terms of my work, I can say that I consider myself to be a conscientious professional able to produce high quality self-revised work. Deadlines are sacrosanct and client satisfaction of the highest importance. Most of all, I uphold excellence in language and the valorisation of translation as a skilled craft and channel of intercultural communication. |
