I'm a French native speaker from Brussels, Belgium (born in 1981). I moved to Maryland in 94, then to NY State, Westchester County in 99. I went to Mamaroneck High school in Westchester for my senior year (last year), then to Westchester Community College from 2000-4. I've earned my Bachelors and Masters in Spanish and in Italian from Iona college (2004-9), Cum Laude.

I'm pursuing Interpreter Preparation Training for the NYC Dept of Education and Translation Management System training for thebigword (agency) at International School of Linguists (2014-present), and NYCDOE Interpreter Training at thebigword NY Headquarters, and for other companies.

I'm a Candidate in the Spanish-English Translation Certificate Programme at NYU. I would also like to travel all over the world. I would like to become an accomplished writer/poet and translator/interpreter. I'm currently working as translator/proofreader (French, English, Spanish, some Italian to French and English) and consecutive interpreter (French, English, Spanish) for various agencies and NGOs.

I occasionally translate simple texts, such as correspondence and Italian language learning material from Italian into English and French.


For consecutive interpreting I charge $50 or $40 per hour. For translation and proofreading, editing, or revision, I charge $0.15 maximum, $0.10 minimum per word (translated or source), $20 per hour.
