Simultaneous interpreting is my favourite - it allows faster communication when time is precious. It is now used outside the booth format and I enjoy the dynamics of meetings, teleconferences, forums, brain storms, debates where no time is lost.

Speeches can be fast, slow, evasive, direct, turn into shouting or singing and I am ready for the challenge every time. The best job satisfaction is when parties interact as if they speak the same language.

One of the professors at our MA course used to say: "A successful job is when they didn't notice there was an interpreter!"
