I have a degree in biology from the Universitat de Barcelona, and since 2013 I work as a freelance medical writer, even though I have a scientific background.

As a medical writer, I am familiar with biomedical research and I have experience in educational medical writing (review of scientific articles, writing conference highlights, writing scientific articles for national and international journals, developing posters for medical conferences, and literature search) and translation of scientific papers and clinical trials websites. My main experience focus on cancer (colorectal, breast, ovarian, lung, head and neck, melanoma), but also on antibiotic-resistant bacteria, atopic dermatitis, psoriasis, hidradenitis suppurativa, obesity, atrial fibrillation, rheumatoid arthritis or parkinson.

In addition, since 2001 I have been associated with the section of zoology of the department of “Biologia Evolutiva, Ecologia i Ciències Ambientals” (former department of Animal Biology), and I am member of the “Institut de Recerca de la Biodiversitat (IRBio)”, of the “Universitat de Barcelona”. During all these years, I have participated in several projects and I have developed a wide range of skills, such as organizing and monitoring, obtaining, entering and analyzing data, writing and editing technical documents and scientific papers for international journals, and preparing grant proposals.I consider myself a planned and very well-organized person, as well as am dynamic, flexible and results oriented. I also like teamwork, but I am also very autonomous.
