Bio
I am a freelance translator, engineer and programmer living in Spain with both industrial and academic experience.
I was a university lecturer in electronics and electrical engineering, and later worked in industry as an electrical/electronic engineer and programmer.
I have eleven years experience of general translation and eight years in the translation of technical documents from Spanish, French. Portuguese and Galician to English, including manuals, technical data and university courses. I continue to work in electronics and computer programming as well.
As an active engineer I am used to the need for accuracy, precision, and keeping to deadlines, but I also have great desire to find the best possible phrase in translations just as I like to find the most efficient and beautiful electrical circuit or computer program function for a particular purpose. I value punctuality highly.
