Source text - English XX is sponsoring the Women Heritage Walk as the official partner in 2016. The Women’s Heritage Walk from Al Ain to Abu Dhabi honors the women of the United Arab Emirates who made this journey twice a year not so long ago to receive the men returning from long pearl diving and trade trips. Forty-four women will retrace this historical trek.
And now we are offering two lucky winners the chance to join this historical walk! To take part you must first be in good physical shape to do a 120km walk across the desert from Al Ain to Abu Dhabi city. Secondly you will need to submit a short essay (200 words), explaining why you are the best candidate to take part in this exciting event.
The deadline for applying and submitting the essay is Thursday 14 January 2016. The walk will take place on 7 – 12 March.
This initiative generated major media support last year, including prime time coverage on CNN and other international channels.

I graduated in 2002 with major in English, my graduation project was a comparative study between Arabic and English literature and i got A grade. I always had talent and passion for translation since I was in high school which was refined by college studies.
After graduation, I received intensive training in all types of translation but I always had passion for legal and technical translation
I started my career as a translator in 2003 when I joined one of the most reputed translation companies in Egypt till 2005 during which I have always been praised for combining between accuracy and speed.
In 2006 I moved to another company in which I have been exposed to more types of translation from other countries which required more knowledge of the terminology used by different Arab countries.
I worked with many professionals in the industry and built an extensive experience, even after moving to live in UAE I continued my job as a freelance translator whereby I increased my portfolio and knowledge.
I have also joined many reputed companies as a translator until I reached my current position as Translation Manager at Etihad Airways.
Translation for me is not just a job, it is my passion and I enjoy my time the most while translating.
