Bio

Thank you for visiting my profile.

I am a certified (sworn) interpreter and translator and a member of the Polish Society of Sworn and Specialized Translators (TEPIS) and of the American Translators Association (ATA).

I graduated in English Studies and completed a postgraduate program at the Interdisciplinary Postgraduate Studies in Translation and Interpreting (IPSKT), both of them in Poland.

Since I specialize in legal translation, I also completed a law course at Griffith College in Ireland and earned a Diploma in Professional Legal Studies for Legal Executives.

Currently, I am pursuing the American law program offered by the Center for American Law Studies at the University of Warsaw.

I firmly believe that CPD (Continuing Professional Development) and lifelong learning are twin pillars of the translation profession, so I regularly attend courses, webinars and conferences for translators to improve my skills.

In my 15 years as a translator I have had an opportunity to help a number of customers get their message across. I have worked on a vast array of projects in many areas:

  • law (articles of association, minutes of general meetings, court decisions, divorce papers, police reports, contracts, notarial deeds, privacy policies, NDAs)
  • public procurement (ToR, contracts)
  • finance (annual reports, financial statements, balance sheets, tax forms, loan agreements)
  • marketing (websites, newsletters, brochures, press releases)
  • employment (employee handbooks, consent forms, H&S, company policies, training materials, codes of conduct)
  • education (diplomas, transcripts, study materials, subtitles for educational videos)
  • IT (software localization, SAP)

As an interpreter, I offer my assistance with transactions and company meetings.

I take confidentiality and punctuality seriously: I treat all the materials I receive as strictly confidential and I understand the importance of meeting deadlines.

I am not omniscient so I never accept jobs that go beyond my area of expertise.

My professional experience and strong work ethics, coupled with meticulousness and passion, are greatly appreciated by customers (references available upon request).
