Program:

13:30 to 18:30: Open office: learn about subtitling, discuss with colleagues or bring your own work

18:30 Buffet-style dinner – bring a dish, dessert or bottle to share with colleagues

20:30 Les nouveaux barbares – Fred Elkaim's powerful theater play on corporate human resource management in another theater just 300 meters. (Reserve your own ticket.) Those who wish to skip it and continue to discuss can stay at the Levain

22:30 to 01:00: More dishes, desserts and bottles to finish in le Levain.

Dear colleagues,

The first Friday of March is around the corner – so join us in Théâtre le Levain in Bègles! The February meeting ended around midnight, and subtitling came up as a topic for the upcoming meeting. Therefore we'll take a closer look at a versatile free subtitle editor, aegisub this time.

The afternoon will start around 13:30 – but you can join us any time you want. During the afternoon, we'll take a look at how aegisub works and those who want can subtitle some short videos in groups. Those who prefer to work on their own translations will have a quite corner as well.

Around 18:30, we can have a shared buffet like last time. Those who are not available in the afternoon but wish to join us for the evening are warmly welcome. Any dish, dessert, or drink is welcome.

The Théâtre le Levain is not the only theater around: practically at the end of our street is Théâtre en Miettes (which makes rue de la République the veritable Broadway of Bègles). Friday evening at 20:30 Fred Elkaim's Les nouveaux barbares is played there – a powerful and humorous criticism of corporate human resources management, something that we as freelancers are not exposed to on a daily basis, or at least not in the same form. Those who prefer can stay in le Levain, those who would like to see the play can go and come back to finish the diverse dishes and bottles. How does it sound?
