Hello ProZ friends!!!!
I will probably get my first work in these days.
I live in Argentina and the agency may be in USA or Poland, por example.
I don't have a bank account yet.
In two different banks they told me that I need many documents and the monotribute to get my money, and they will charge U$ 60 +IVA!!!
I don't want to miss my chance.
What should I do?

Well, this probably will be my first time working with an agency outside my country.
I've worked as freelancer and I've been paid cash directly by clients.
I have no experience with bank accounts up to now, when I think I must have one.

Ask in a bank if you will be able to cash it, without having an account.
Maybe you can get a Western Union transfer from an agency. Then you do not need an account.
Anyway, having a bank accout is not a bad idea. I needed it when creating a Moneybookers account.
And Paypal says:

I've got no idea how the situation in Argentina is but here are some general things:
1. Bank account: Sooner or later, you will have to get one, in most countries this is mandatory just for tax reasons. Even if it costs a lot of money, you will have to get it, not just because a lot of agencies pay per wire transfer (onto your bank account) but also because it looks professional. Shop around a bit, there must be better deals than those you got from those two banks.

2. Cheques: Until you don't have a bank account, one payment option would be cheques. A lot of translation agencies are more than happy to send you a cheque and you should be able to cash that without having a bank account, however, be aware of sometimes very high fees (which, by the way, also can be quite high with wire transfers). In most cases, it only makes sense to ask for a cheque payment if the sum to be paid is quite high (a cheque payment over just 15 USD doesn't make any sense at all as the fees to be paid might be higher than these 15 USD).
3. Online accounts: Another option are online accounts like PayPal or Moneybookers. These don't cost any money to open and the fees are reasonable and most of the time only applicable when you withdraw the money. However, to withdraw the money you have to have a bank account. Also, not many translation agencies support this payment method as they also have to have such an account to pay you.
Those are your options, I hope this helped a bit.
