Is it just me, or is the culture on here simply deplorable? I subscribe to a few boards (unrelated to translating and interpreting) and this one seems to have the most despicable, mean-spirited and hateful posts and sometimes I'm even wary of posting any question because of the *#(@% who might reply. I assumed this was a place where colleagues could seek answers but lately I find that is not the case. Can we get back to the basics, please? Or is this just in my language pair (SK-EN)... Despicable comments are made and then the poster removes them before she gets into trouble. So while the post is missing to anyone stumbling upon the discussion later, the sarcastic/offensive message has hit home (has been read by the targets in their email).
