Dear ProZians,
I just want to remind you that there is only one week left in the 2012 year-end membership campaign: "Stand out."
Thank you to all the new members who have joined ProZ.com so far, and to all the current members who have chosen to extend their membership during this campaign! Membership is a smart business move and what makes ProZ.com possible (see ProZ.com reports to members >>).
If you are not a member already, there has never been a better time to join ProZ.com and start including the benefits of ProZ.com membership in your translation business for 2013 and beyond.
If you are already a member, now is also an excellent time to renew --your membership will be added to the end of your current membership (i.e. no membership is lost), and you will have a chance at the prizes to be drawn from among those who purchase during the campaign:
- a vacation trip for 2 to the Bahamas (1 winner)
- professional website design/redesign. Winners will receive professional help in creating and designing a personal website for their services, or in re-designing or updating the site if one already exists (3 winners)
- a Kindle™ e-book reader (3 winners)

I received the email notice about BrowniZ donation by those who have plenty to those who would then apply these points when purchasing membership, and I was wondering why you limit this option - a lovely gesture! - to those who are not yet members of the ProZ.com community. Wouldn't it be equally sensible to extend this option to all, and focus on retaining existing members as much as you focus on recruiting new ones?

I could have used enough BrowniZ of mine to help out four colleagues with their renewal, just to find out that my contribution is not possible because they are already paying members. In my opinion, it would be sad to see them leave, in case they are affected by this economy--and why should they be the exception? I think those who are already paying members have already shown their commitment to the Site and I see no reason why not encourage them just as much as you encourage those who are not yet committed.
I would appreciate your consideration of extending the BrowniZ donation campaign to all, non-members and members alike.
