In Argentina:
Irse de gira (to go on a tour, especially for artists).
Different variations with "fiambre" (literally, cold meat; cadaver). "Fulanito se hizo fiambre", "Está hecho fiambre" (Fulanito has become a fiambre).
Cagar fuego (to shit fire; it also means that you're gonna be defeated or given a lot of hell).
Palmar (to die; it can also mean to fall asleep when you're really tired, and "palmado" means "exhausted").

Many years ago, a famous Brazilian TV host, Flavio Cavalcanti, had a heart attack, and after having been released from hospital, had to stay home for some weeks or months under an "absolute rest" prescription.
As he told later - after recovery - in his show, one day a journalist phoned his home to learn about his condition. A somewhat ignorant maid answered the call, and explained the situation: He can't answer the phone. His doctor has prescribed eternal re...
