disagree  Mårten Sandberg: Windward=Lovart: "direction or side from which wind blows; side exposed to the wind ". You mixed up "lovart"(opposite of lee) and "bordvart".

  -> Thank you Mårten. Gullberg does actually give 'wingward' not 'windward'. However, I'm out of my depth here although I do live in a naval town.
