Viet cong and druggies Explanation: Front National de Liberte - group of people who joined in the northvietnam army against southvietnam and the US supported government and also against the US troops in the country. In the US they were also called Viet cong. Flummare= somebody doing drugs. |

supporters of VC and hippies/bum(mer)s Explanation: A "flummare" is not necessarily smbdy doing drugs though it could surely be part of the picture. I admit it is difficult to translate "flummare". And one should probably specify that the people were ideological "supporters" of VC rather than a direct part of the organisation. |

Vietniks and hippies Explanation: In the US, they were not Vietcongs themselves but just the dirt-bags kids who supported the Vietcong, ...Vietniks. They called themselves, "peaceniks" as well, but in the context you want to portray, use vietniks. A Google search will help you |
