call-off enquiry Explanation: Avrop is normally a call-off from an order. When I worked in industry many clients submitted blanket orders covering annual quantities and would call off quantities on a month by month basis. Where the lead time was something like 4 months, the blanket order facilitated planning for production purposes. This is British English - the US English terminology may be different. |
