power relationship Explanation: This would fit the context better than relative strength even if the meaning is synonymous. Ojämna styrkeförhållanden = unbalanced power relationship/s - in english the singular is probably better. |

unequal strength Explanation: I wonder if you can use this? The Scandinavian 'förhållande' is sometimes useful, but in this case it seems to carry very little meaning. I would be strongly tempted simply to write 'the unequal strength of the parties' in the second sentence. The inequality... in the strength of the parties ... or something like that. |
