bilansvarsförsäkring third party insurance Explanation: This is what it's called in everyday conversation in the UK. It is also what some (many?) insurance companies and other organisations call it. For example: Third Party sometimes called "Public Liability" Insurance is in place for up to £2,000,000 for civil liability compensation awards for personal injury to Third Parties or Members of the Public or damage to their property as a result of negligence by any BS-AC Member. http://www.bsac.org/services/insurance0201.htm Marie's and Counsel's answers are also good, although without checking, I feel that comprehensive is the opposite of third party. Third party you have to take out for your old banger whereas comprehensive insurance is what you take out for your brand new BMW. |
