Swedish term or phrase: gruppstation
Again! related to a wind power facility.

What is a group station (gruppstation)?

It is a bunch of wind turbines bunched together; a wind farm.

But when a text from the Environmental Assessment Delegation's decision on an application to construct a wind farm, uses specific terms for a wind farm and specific terms for a wind turbines, when they use the term "gruppstation," there must be a reason for using this specific (not frequently used) term, when they could have said wind farm (which is understood the term commonly used).

What might they mean here with "gruppstation"?

Text for context:

"... gruppstation om högst 13 vindkraftverk "
"tillstånd enligt miljöbalken för att uppföra och driva en gruppstation för vindkraft "

"Common substation" is the better translation as it also covers the extremely rare case of HVDC feeds.

Reference information:
I didn't find many hits for the term in English, but the below link describes a group station as "a cabin of approximately 2.5 x 4 m containing transformers and inverters"

This is a guess, but a group station could possibly be described as a substation, based on a Wikipedia entry on wind farms.
