There is also something called a 'power content label', but as far as I can see this only states the kind and amount of energy used, not necessarily that it is particularly green. grön el-certifikat Bio-fuel certification or sustainable energy certification Explanation: I think the buzz-words here are bio-fuel and sustainable energy. You convert natural products in to either oils, sugar and/or cellulose to make into either diesel or alcohol or matters to burn. For example I visited a plant in Brazil, where sugar cane was turned into fuel alcohol in one part of the plant, and to sugar in another - the steam was then utilised via turbines to make electricity enough to power a town the size of Edinburgh for 200 days a year. |
