it's one of those academic/governmental words, one where the meaning is clear, and it sounds ok in Swedish - but how to make it sound professional in English?

Here's the context: den statliga befattningsutbildningen för rektorer

A term used by the Swedish National Agency for Education.

Quite simply, it is "job training" - but can we come up with a more bureaucratic sounding term?
