for public-sector workers Explanation: Just an idea; wondered whether it may refer to people working in the public sector, i.e. equivalent to our Official Secrets Act. Can't think of an elegant way to phrase it at this time on a Friday though, particularly with one eye on the tennis... |

in the operation of public authorities Explanation: The law concerns civil servants. Wonder if simply "in the public sector" could be used here? The meaning of "verksamhet" would be lost, but... "In the public domain..." is perhaps a bit too wide, including even the usual public who are not civil servants, if am correct? |

Ex: The common interest of persons in their capacity as members of the public... -------------------------------------------------- Note added at 1 day1 hr (2009-07-04 16:47:39 GMT) -------------------------------------------------- GENERAL PUBLIC is my suggestion, the well-being etc accidentally slipped in from one of my examples, can not find a way to correct.
