pattern of requirements Explanation: pattern of requirements Purely guessing - I've just seen this by chance in an old newspaper article, and thought it might fit. Support calls may come in waves - is the system geared to cope with them, things like that? |

specification Explanation: I think what they mean is that the final version of whatever it is (software?) is made operational, and validation against the specification is done in the form of tests and delivery acceptance. |

specifications and demands profile Explanation: When I worked with the IT project people at a bank, their kravbild was a combination of customer specifications and demands from other sources. |

requirements Explanation: This should be enough. "Kravbild" refers to little more than a group of predefined requirements. I think "specifications" is too limited in meaning. "Kravbild" means the overall picture of requirements. E.g. a kravbild for a product may include anything from required technical specifications (voltage, dimensions, etc.) to requirements regarding user friendliness, customer satisfaction, psychological reactions, etc. Alternatively, you may try something like "required profile", where "profile" presumably is as general in meaning as Swedish "-bild". -------------------------------------------------- Note added at 9 hrs (2009-03-17 20:43:40 GMT) -------------------------------------------------- In this case, you would need the definite article by the way: "...against the requirements/required profile..." -------------------------------------------------- Note added at 3 days12 hrs (2009-03-20 23:51:18 GMT) -------------------------------------------------- The "-bild" refers to that there is a (pre)conception of the requirements, that they are defined beforehand. You could optionally capture this by adding a suitable adjective, e.g. thus: "specified requirements". |
