agree  George Hopkins: Also footbridges. Footbridge or not, depends on the architect, there's no limitation.

  -> Thanks. Would footbridge work in an office context though? (it can be discussed whether "spänger" is the best choice of wording in Swedish).

  -> Don't agree. SAOL gives only spänger & spångar in pl.

agree  asptech: "footbridge" is correct, a "spång" is a small bridge over a brook, a ditch, etc.
