In effetti mi è difficile chiedere aiuto su un termine solo, poiché è tutta la frase che mi rimane, come dire?, perversa.

In realtà, la frase è perversa, perché non ha senso. Una cosa non si può "independizar" di se stessa. È un linguaggio "troppo" ricercato.
Ad ogini modo, indpependizar è "rendere indipendente". Io lo lascierei così, conservando l'ambiguità....
