agree  Maria Assunta Puccini: Sì ma secondo me andrebbe bene anche "messa all'asta" perché mi sembra che quel "rematado" abbia una connotazione meno positiva e più, diciamo, agressiva, più incisiva rispetto a "svendere"

Penso che possa 'rematar' possa essere tradotto come 'liquidare', considerando il termine italiano nell'accezione nella quale lo si utilizza in gergo giuridico, cioè: messa in vendita del patrimonio immobiliare di un'azienda quando questa non ha liquidità sufficiente per far fronte alle proprie obbligazioni nei confronti dei creditori. Dal contesto che hai inserito, mi sembra proprio che il senso sia questo.
