la telescrittura è un sistema basato su collegamenti telefonici fra due o più gruppi di persone.

Chi scrive è chiamato telescriventista.

E' il metodo che usavano le agenzie di notizie (prima dell'arrivo di internet) per trasmettere le notizie, specie quelle "calde", appena successe.

teletipo in spagnolo è tanto la macchina chiamata "telsecrivente" quanto il testo fatto con questa macchina o "testo telescritto". Qui è ovvio che parlano del testo e non della macchina.
