Insumo, como bien dijo Arturo, es un término muy "argentino" pero aparece muy frecuentemente.
En la pregunta anterior me parece perfecta la opción que dio Arturo, pero hay otro nombre de negocio que siempre me trae problemas:

VENTA DE INSUMOS PARA COMPUTADORAS. Referido a cartuchos y accesorios para pc.

¿Cómo se llaman estos negocios en Italia?, ¿Cómo traducirían "insumos" en este caso?.
