Explanation:
Ich finde, in deinem Kontext könnte auch das Ödland passen.
Was den Bereich "Gebüsch" angeht, hat mich manigua spontan an den maquis erinnert.
Das trockene, teils gebirgige und relativ dünn besiedelte Landesinnere ist mit Gestrüpp und Unterholz bewachsen, dem sogenannten Maquis (aus dem einheimischen Macchia, was soviel wie »Unterholz« bedeutet). Verschiedenartige Sträucher und Kräuter bedecken das Land: Arbutus, Mastix, Dornensträucher, Myrte, Wacholder, Rosmarin, Bergrosen, Agaven, Pistazien, Fenchel, Erika, wilde Minze und Asphodill. Die Angehörigen der Résistance, der französischen Widerstandsbewegung gegen die deutsche Besatzung Frankreichs im 2. Weltkrieg, wurden Maquis genannt.
