Para personas que en el territorio nacional son beneficiarios del Subsidio Asistencial de Enfermedad conforme a la Ley de Asistencia a la Niñez y a la Juventud (KJHG) en combinación con la Ley Federal de Asistencia Social (BSHG), en caso de residencia en el extranjero no se puede conceder el Subsidio Asistencial de Enfermedad conforme a las disposiciones anteriormente citadas (ni tampoco se les pueden rembolsar los gastos de asistencia sanitaria reclamados con arreglo al citado subsidio).

En tales casos, en países en los que sea aplicable el **Convenio europeo de asistencia social y médica**, los solicitantes deben dirigirse a las Autoridades sociales extranjeras.
