(working) Like oxen? OR Like an ox? Explanation: Nunca he oído esta expresión en Colombia, lo cual no quiere decir que no se use. De todas formas, me parece que lo que evocan los bueyes es el trabajo duro y/o constante. Es posible que éste sea el sentido en este contexto, pues el parlamento siguiente da a entender que ya no se está trabajando puesto que la vaina está lista. 1) Working like an ox? 2) No, I'm finished. I've got that thing (stuff) ready. Mi interpretación. |
