neutral  Noni Gilbert Riley: While I think the translation is quite likely to be "brushes" I fail to see the connection between your reference and this question. Perhaps you could explain more clearly.

agree  Richard Boulter: Ditto on the refs, but 'brushes' is as likely as 'fingers' for the mechanical part in question. The issue here is what they're actually called in the printing industry.
