Spanish term or phrase: "curar"
Hello All,

This is from a contemporary piece of fiction. On several occasions the word "curar" or "cura" is used in what's clearly a colloquial or slang way, and I feel like I get the gist of it, but I don't get it fully 100%.

Here are two examples:

"CURA que les escame" (talking about how some people are scared of the "bad guys")
("esa perra" is having influence over the "señor" and the speaker is expressing that this is not how things should be)

I think "escamarle" here is being used more or less like "freak out", and my interpretation of the first sentence is something like "So what/Screw it if it freaks them out/scares the crap out of them".

So, I (sort of!) think the second one is along the lines of "What the hell is that bit-- doing XXXX señor" (influencing? having pull? yanking his chain?).

Any help much appreciated, and thanks in advance!

Thanks to everyone who offered opinions. I thing that the "cura" and the "curándole" are being used in two different ways, and the "cura" is cool.
