This question has come up before but I would like to be sure. In the article I'm working on "prevalencia" is used constantly when I feel it's not really the correct word in Spanish eg la Encuesta Nacional de Salud de España 2006 (ENSE 2006) que aporta los datos oficiales sobre la prevalencia de la discapacidad en la población y el uso del sistema socio-sanitario ...... or GRÁFICO 1: Prevalencia de la discapacidad por género.
which is then a percentage graph.
Do you think I'm right to translate it as number or percentage as prevalence implies something different?
