Line Management Explanation: it looks as though this may be what they mean - line management referring to hierarchy so I suppose it is someone one or several stages up the hierarchical line This is the first time I have seen it this way, whence lack of confidence |

department/unit head Explanation: Unfortunately, I'm certain that "line management" is not correct (it doesn't show up in any context online relating to management hierarchies. I'm less certain that department or unit head is correct. It seems that direccion de linea/organo de linea refers to a level of management lower than "general management"--to the leadership of subunits of the organization. In English, you can refer to such sublevels as departments, and their leadership as department heads. |
