Are these outworkers? homeworkers? Something else? Suggestions welcomed.

Remote workers: How do you serve them?
A big challenge for IT organizations is to manage the hordes of telecommuters, road warriors and small office/home office workers trying to hook on to the enterprise. Many IT groups develop and manage these "unique" working environments on shoestring budgets without access to specialized training.

Thanks, Nikki. In the context it is obvious that they are not laid off or taking on work that is not their habitual line of work. However, as I cannot be sure that they are teleworkers (they could be sales staff, for example, or at least include them), I think this one is sufficiently vague to cover anybody who does not actually work in the office the whole time.

relocation of production

Explanation:
I think it means that production is shifted/relocated abroad, where labour costs are lower.

Therefore, you could translate it as follows: "However, thanks to the potential benefits deriving from the relocation of production (abroad/ to other countries),..."

(though it sounds like a bone) may solve the problem. The phrase generally refers to those who have lost their jobs or been laid off, but your context would seem to suggest else. Check it out, anyway. :)
