psycological reactance
Explanation:
The experience I have had with psycological reactance would have to be a few of years ago when I was about 15 years old. My mother has always told us kids that we can't have a boyfriend till we are 16 years old, well I snuck and had one. I figured, she got married when she was 16, so why can't I have a boyfriend when I am 15? Just as our book states: 'psycological reactance is when someone tries to control us by telling us what to do, the more inclined we are to resist such efforts, and even do the opposite'.(Page 103) that is just what I did. I now realize that my mother did that, and had those rules to protect me from getting hurt, which is what happened because I did not listen to her. It's funny how when someone tells you that you can't do something, it's like you want to prove them wrong, and do it anyway.

resistence

Explanation:
The only reference I could find is the above one from my Espasa dict.: f. ELEC. Resistencia que opone al paso de una corriente alterna un condensador o una bobina.

It does not seem to match with your problem, but I hope it helps somehow.
