Término o frase en español: % SOBRE LA JORNADA HABITUAL DE LA EMPRESA
In an "informe de vida laboral" issued by the Spanish Ministry of Employment and Social Security, the person's full work history is detailed in chronological order, with various information provided in different columns. One of the columns is headed "C.T.P." and contains either figues or - in most cases - just three dashes.

The legend on the following page indicates that the meaning of the abbreviation is as follows:

C.T.P.- % SOBRE LA JORNADA HABITUAL DE LA EMPRESA
En los contratos de trabajo a tiempo parcial el coeficiente, en tantos por ciento, identifica el porcentaje que, sobre la jornada a tiempo completo establecida en el Convenio Colectivo de
aplicación o, en su defecto, sobre la jornada ordinaria máxima legal, realiza o ha realizado el trabajador/a.

My understanding therefore would be that in a case, for example, where 75.0 appears in the "C.T.P." column, the person has worked part-time, and that their normal hours represent 75.0% of a normal full-time load. E.g. a six-hour day where the normal working day is eight hours = 75.0%.

Is this the correct understanding of this term? I.e. that it refers to the "percentage of the ordinary working day of the business".

I have a client (Australian immigration lawyer) whose own client insists that where % figures appear in the "C.T.P." column, this represents the percentage ABOVE normal working hours that were completed. I presume this would mean that 75.0 represents a 14 hour day or 70 hour week if the normal working hours are 8 per day / 40 per week. This seemed both unlikely and inconsistent with my understanding of the text.

However, I am happy to corrected if I have misinterpreted the Spanish text, as the end user's ability to satisfy Australian immigration requirements depends on his having worked at least full-time for a given period in his occupation.

Thank you,

Lawson

You're right, in my opinion.

We're talking about "contratos de tiempo parcial", and they want to know how part-time the contracts are. If your client's client is the person who actually did the work, I'm surprised they're insisting it means "over and above".

In other words, it can't be a part-time contract if the person is working more than 100% of normal hours.

Thanks Phil. In answer to your question, the person who did the work has a motive to insist it means 'over and above', as their interpretation would create a record of X years of full-time employment. (The absence of such full-time experience is likely to be fatal to their visa application.) Thanks also for the very useful link, Rosa.

Coincido  Billh: Yes but I would say HOURS not day. These things tend to be measured in hours and jornada also means working hours, not necessarily in a day. http://www.ugt.es/juventud/observatorio2006/bloque1/1_2_22.h...

Reference information:
