Spanish term or phrase: presididas por la no discriminación
Text from banking staff regulations from Spain going into UK English.

I'm currently using "guided/driven by", but would be interested in hearing how others might put it.

Context:

"Artículo 46. Garantía de igualdad de oportunidades y no discrimi-nación entre las personas.

1. Las relaciones laborales en las empresas deben estar presididas por la no discriminación por razón de nacimiento, raza, sexo, religión, adhesión sindical o cualquier otra condición o circunstancia personal o social."

Thanks in advance.

governed by a principle of non-discrimination
Explanation:
Guided/driven by seem good to me. My other suggestion is "governed by the principle of". It seems to need the extra word "principle".

An environment of non-discrimination must prevail...

Explanation:
Maybe something along these lines might work:

"An environment of non-discrimination must prevail within companies in respect to nationality, race....."

or "Companies must ensure an enviroment of non-discrimination......"

Or just leave out 'environment'.

"Non-discrimination must prevail in companies with respect to....."

"The principle of non-discrimination must prevail...."

Notes to answerer
Asker: "Governed by the principle of non-discrimination" works absolutely perfect with my wording (and has great hits), thanks again Maureen :)

Asker: I meant to say too; it mentions "principle" later in the text loads, so perfectly justified to include it here...
