Spanish term or phrase: tratar a alguien con la punte del pie
A worker making critical comments about supervisors in a survey says of them, "Es de en vano que les den clases de como tratar a los empleados por que [sic] a muchos de nosotros nos tratan con la punta del pie." Literally translated, "tratar a alguien con la punta del pie" means "to treat someone with one's toe," but this makes no sense in English. Any suggestions as to the real meaning in English?

Many thanks! I hadn't thought of "la punta del pie" as an alternative to "a patadas," but I did indeed find the latter in my dictionary, translated as you say.

to treat like a dog

Explanation:
The best expression in English would be "to treat like a dog", because the worker is trying to express that the people don't care about them.
