Spanish term or phrase: BAÑERA PARA SOMIER
Just finding out how little I know about furniture. I thought "bañera" was bath/tub, but apparently it's a type of sofa-bed. What is it called in English? Here's a picture of one I found on google.

bedstead/bed frame for sprung mattress
Explanation:
I had to translate a bedroom furniture catalogue once (empathy!) and I asked the customer what the "bañera" was and he said, "translate the same as bancada" (I wasn't much the wiser!) However, the "bañera" just seems to be the bed frame, which supports a mattress.

Examples (first English, second Spanish) in the links below.

Here is a catalogue with plenty of drawings of "bañeras":

murphy bed

Explanation:
In the US, these beds are popular. They lift up during the day, flush against the wall, pull down at night. Saves a lot of space and can be very decorative.
An option.

neutral  Juan Jacob: Vaya, no sabía que se llamaban así, pero, viendo la foto de referencia, no es lo mismo. Aquí, sólo se levanta el colchón. ¿Qué no inventan?
